acknowledge the shadows - nearly everything casts a shadow. it comes with the terrain of the physical realm. addressing the shadows doesn’t make them more apparent, but ignoring them does.
apologize - sometimes we have to say we’re sorry. Maybe out-loud, or on paper. to someone directly or just in spirit. or ourselves. WHERE DO I NEED TO APOLOGIZE?
be flexible - the structures that are able to bend and flex with the elements end up withstanding the most storms. HOW CAN I BE MORE FLEXIBLE?
be gentle - stop forcing, applying pressure, grinding. gentleness is often an overlooked solution. gentleness requires massive strength. HOW CAN I BE GENTLE?
be present - be in the moment. find your breath. give your mind permission to stop thinking. do it for even one second. BE PRESENT.
call in - what is something you’d like to bring into your life? a feeling? a way of being? more art making? more play, love joy? what would you invite to share space with you? what is realistic? what is dreamy yet attainable? WHAT CAN YOU CALL IN?
connect - the world is interconnected. we can connect on so many different levels. other humans. through passions. to trees, plants, bugs, pets animals, space, gardens, emotions. the possibilities for connection are endless, choose one. HOW CAN I CONNECT?
face the problem - sometimes we numb, we distract, we prolong the entire experience. just face it head on. support yourself so that you can show up as your best self, but just face it.
face yourself - sometimes we are the obstacle, the misunderstood villain. we can hold ourselves back. Take a deep breath and FACE YOURSELF?
find joy - what lights you up? what do you do for fun. what can you imagine would be fun? now go try it. don’t make it big. find the little joys. WHAT LIGHTS ME UP?
friendship - how is friendship coming up in your life? this humble relationship is often overlooked in how nurturing and nourishing it can be.
go within - spend some time w/ yourself. turn off all screens. journal. doodle. pretend it’s 1996. sit on the floor. what do you already know? how do you know yourself? HOW CAN I GO WITHIN?
gratitude - what is it in your life that you deeply appreciate? how can you experience that gratitude in the moment without getting too hung up on the fleeting nature of everything? WHAT AM I GRATEFUL FOR ?
heal - healing is not linear. Healing is never done. Healing can look like a lot of things. it is something we all need to do. if not ourselves our culture, our behaviors, the earth. HOW CAN I HEAL?
humility - this is the act of being humble. of knowing that you are special and so is everything else. its not degrading, its knowing that there are many things happening in the universe at once. HOW CAN I BE HUMBLE ?
illusions - it is easy to see what we want to see. what others tell us to see. what we expect to see. what stories are we telling ourselves? what tales do we believe? WHAT IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS?
kindness - where could we use more kindness? could we be kinder to our self? people we love? situations? HOW CAN I BE KIND?
let go - what are we carrying that is too heavy and we no longer need. Or too light and obsolete? You don’t need to cary so much. You can’t take it with you. WHAT CAN I LET GO?
love - appreciate something for exactly what it is. feel your heart fill up. this can be a moment, a pet, a plant, an action, a temperature, a person, a part of yourself, and more. WHAT DO YOU LOVE?
